Minutes of the Crazy Eights Tribe Fall Outing

The tribe gathered at Camp Kanata. The Princesses played soccer for a
little while.

Then Little Acorn, Thunder Cub, Shining Star, Prancing Coyote, Smiling Otter,
and Stargazer, with their dads, went for a hike in the woods to find the
"Big Tree."

We continued on the hike to the lake, where we took canoe rides.

Next we all returned to our camp, where we were joined by the rest of
the tribe. We all ate supper (wild boar, I believe, prepared by Red Feather.)

After supper, we had a short meeting. 

After the opening ritual of the unbroken circle, two new Princesses and
Braves were introduced:

Shining Star and Big Moon (Carly and Frank Nigro)
Prancing Squirrel and Cooking Bear (Claire and Dennis Isemonger)

We received beads for the meeting (and for the campout).

Stargazer earned her Orange Feather for preparing a Lasagne dinner for her
mother.

Pappa Otter closed the meeting.

Soon it was time for the Fall Outing initiating ceremony. We walked
silently through the rows of torches and found our seats in front of the lake.
A bonfire was started (with a bang). The Princesses and Dads exchanged yellow
and blue bear claws, promising to give up our impatience and selfishness.

The Outing ended with the reading of all new tribes' names.
